1. Removing the service cover

Fortunately, any upgrade on the notebook will be easy to perform since there is a service cover that hides away all the upgrade options – RAM, hard drive and the SSD.
Remove two screws securing the service cover and remove the cover.

2. Hard drive, RAM and SSD upgrade option

The one is located near the lower left corner in the photo contains only the 2.5-inch HDD, which in our case is HGST 1TB (5400 rpm).

The laptop has two RAM slots and comes with one 8GB DDR4-2133 RAM.
According to the Asus website information, the laptop supports up to 32GB RAM, so you can upgrade the RAM up to 32GB.
The laptop comes with a 128GB M.2 SATA 3 SSD, and you can upgrade to a larger capacity SSD.
Some of GL552VW support PCIe 3.0 and PCIex4, you need to check your user manual when you buy the new SSD.
