Microsoft has promised before that it will bring several laptops powered by ARM platform processor with cooperated manufacturers including HP, Asus and Lenovo by the end of this year.
Today, two new laptops have appeared on HP Care Pack page. The two laptops feature a 12-inch display and are powered by ocat-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. One laptop will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS. The other will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS. It seems that the two laptops will be launched in the next few weeks.
As for laptop powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, Microsoft and Qualcomm cooperate to have developed simulator which enables the laptop to directly run on traditional Win32 exe. In the meantime, the laptop with Snapdragon 835 processor will support UWP, 4K video, videogame play and so on. Besides, the laptop powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 has much lower power consumption compared with laptop powered by Intel processor.
Besides, SoC (system on chip) can directly integrate into baseband. The chip boosts of ability of Internet connection and saves component space.
