Huawei Mate 10 Pro smartphone was launched in October 2017. The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2160×1080, it is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded.
Although it hasn’t started selling yet, we’ve got a blue Mate 10 Pro, and today we’re going to disassemble it to find its internal structure.

The first step is removing the SIM card tray.
There is a rubber ring on the top of the SIM card tray, which can prevent water and dust entering the inside of the mobile phone, Mate 10 Pro supports IP67 level water-resistant, it is also Huawei’s first water-resistant phone of the level.
Usually, the water-resistant phone is to use glue to fix the back cover, all of us directly with a hot air gun to heat the back cover.
After about 3 minutes of heating, using a suction cup open the back cover a little bit, and then insert a card under the board.
Slowly slide the card to pry up the back cover.
But note that the fingerprint cable is still connected to the rear cover, and the rear cover can not be completely removed.
Next, we need to remove the fingerprint connector protection plate so that we can access the fingerprint connector.
The metal plate screw is covered with a fragile sticker that prevents the user disassemble the phone themselves.
Remove the metal plate and disconnect the fingerprint cable.
Remove all screws securing the motherboard protection plate.
The protection board integrated handset metal contacts and dual LED flash contacts.
The back cover is covered with a large piece of graphite cooling sticker with a fixed foam frame in the middle. There is a sticker below the fingerprint module to check whether water enters the phone.
You can see the Huawei Mate 10 Pro using classic three-stage design, and the upper is the motherboard, the middle is the battery, the lower is the bottom board.
Next, we will focus on its anti-collision performance, that is, the corner protection level, uncover the corner of the glue paste, you can see that there is obvious injection thickening, can play a strong anti-collision effect.
We disconnect all connectors and coaxial cable on the motherboard.
It can be seen, the front of the motherboard is very compact, only a little free space at the top, it is worth noting that the right of the metal shield has a black window, it is the laser focus module, which is integrated into the motherboard.
The two metal shields on the back of the motherboard are covered with pink thermal grease. The shield below should be the processor and ROM.
Using tweezers to remove light and distance sensors. There is an infrared emission module on the top of the light and distance sensors.
Remove six screws securing the protective plate and remove the plate.
There is also a rubber ring on the port to prevent water and dust from entering the interior of the cell phone.
Noise-canceling microphone and radio microphone are integrated on the bottom board.
The loudspeaker comes from AAC Technologies.
Insert a card under the battery in order to remove the battery. There is a cable underneath the battery. If you don’t care, you may break the cable.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with a 3.82v, 4000mAh, 15.3Wh Li-polymer battery.
From the back of the battery, you can see that its cell comes from ATL.
Remove the pink thermal grease. You can see the SK Hynix 6G RAM, Kirin 970 should be encapsulated in below it, next to is the Toshiba 128GB ROM.
The back of the motherboard is mainly RF chip, audio decoder chip, power management chip and amplifier chip.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro has very tight waterproof sealing measures, which makes it have an IP67 level waterproof ability, its heat dissipation ability, anti-drop ability and internal space utilization are very excellent.
