Lenovo launched ThinkPad E480 and ThinkPad E580 with Intel 8th gen processor

Today, Lenovo has held a new product conference to officially launch the ThinkPad E series all-new products – the ThinkPad E480 (our review) and ThinkPad E580 (teardown).

The ThinkPad E480 features a 14-inch (1,920x 1,080 pixels) screen with the screen ratio of 16:9 and is powered by eighth-generation quad-core Intel Core processor with AMD RX550 independent graphics card. The laptop provides SATA HDD and PCIe SSD.

The ThinkPad E580 features a 15-inch (1,920x 1,080 pixels) screen with the screen ratio of 16:9. It comes with 8GB DDR4 2400 and a 128GB M.2 SSD. The ThinkPad E series adopt super narrow frame design. Except for regular ports, the E480 and the E580 provide Type-C port which supports the quick charge. The all-new ThinkPad E series have excellent performance and stability.

The E480 will be available in five variants:
i5-8250U + 8GB + 256GB SSD for CNY 4,999 (approximately $750)
i5-8250U + RX550 (2GB) + 8GB + 128GB SSD + 500GB HDD for CNY 5,499 (approximately $830)
i5-8250U + RX550 (2GB) + 8GB + 256GB SSD for CNY 5,499 (approximately $830)
i7-8550U + RX550 (2GB) + 8GB + 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD for CNY 6,799(approximately $1,030)
i7-8550U + RX550 (2GB) + 8GB + 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD for CNY 7,299 (approximately $1,100)

The E580 will be available in below variants:

But the official party hasn’t announced the E580’s price. The E480 has started the pre-orders at jd.com and it will be officially on sale on January 11.
