Tools needed: Screwdriver, tweezers, crowbar, suction cup, guitar pick
Remove the SIM card tray with an E-ject pin.
Remove two screws beside USB Type-C port with a screwdriver.
Use the suction cup to suck the front panel of the phone and open it a little bit. And then, insert a plastic tool between the back cover and the phone body to separate the back cover from the phone.
The back cover has the laser drilled holes for the speaker, microphone and USB Type-C port.
Oneplus 3T’s NFC module located in the rear camera area. The mute button module is also integrated into the back cover.
When the back cover was removed, you’ll be able to access the internal components.
The main chips are covered with metal shields. And part of the metal shield is covered with a layer of thermal grease.
Remove the cable is covering the battery, it is used to connect the motherboard to the bottom board.
Main FPC
Uncover all black adhesive tape from the battery.
Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard and remove the battery.
Oneplus 3T comes with a 3.85V, 3400mAh Li-polymer battery.
Disconnect all cable connected to the motherboard and remove all screws.
Take out the motherboard from the phone.
Here’s Oneplus 3T motherboard.
Rear camera: 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, 1.12-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS.
Front camera: 16 MP, f/2.0, 1.0 µm pixel size, 1080p.
On the bottom of the phone body, you can access the 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C data port, microphone, and sound chamber.

When the bottom board was removed, you can access the fingerprint sensor module.
Like his predecessor, One plus 3T using an FPC1245 fingerprint sensor, assembled by the O-film.
Remove the metal shield from the motherboard.
All metal shields are covering with thermal grease.
