How to remove or replace cooling fan on Acer DC28000D4S0

1. Make sure the Acer DC28000D4S0 laptop is shut down. Unlock and remove the battery.
2. Remove two screws securing the keyboard from the bottom cover.
3. Flip the laptop over and open the display.
4. Pry the keyboard with a flat-head screwdriver. Insert the flat-head screwdriver between the keyboard and the top cover.
5. Carefully push the keyboard and lift it up.
6. There are a few retainers securing the keyboard, you'll have to release them with the flat-head screwdriver.
7. Lift up the upper side of the keyboard and move it towards the display assembly.
8. Slide the brown tap about 2-3 millimeters to the display assembly. Pull the cable from the connector.
9. Under the keyboard, remove one screw securing the optical drive. Pull the optical drive and remove it.
10. Remove one screw securing the memory cover. Lift up and remove the cover.
11. Remove all screws from the bottom cover. Remove four screws securing the top cover assembly and disconnect the power button cable and touchpad cable.
12. Start separating the top cover assembly from the rest of the laptop.
13. With the top cover was removed, remove two screws securing the hard drive module. Lift up the hard drive and remove it from the Acer DC28000D4S0 laptop.
14. Disconnect all cables from the motherboard. Remove all screws securing the motherboard.
15. Lift up and remove the motherboard. On the other side of the motherboard, you can remove the cooling fan.
