Screen backlight type

On our website, all our screens are with LED backlight. The difference is some outdated screen with 40 pin connector, the latest screen with 30 pin connector.

  1. 30 pin (eDP, Embedded DisplayPort): eDP is an extended protocol from DisplayPort and is aimed to replace LVDS in coming years, eDP can provide higher bandwidth for bigger resolutions and reduce space for thinner products simultaneously.
  2. 40 pin (LVDS, Low-Voltage Differential Signaling): LVDS was introduced in 1994, and has become popular in products such as LCD-TVs, automotive infotainment systems, industrial cameras and machine vision, notebook and tablet computers, and communications systems. The typical applications are high-speed video, graphics, video camera data transfers, and general purpose computer buses. Early on, the notebook and LCD vendors commonly used the term LVDS instead of FPD-Link when referring to their application, and now the eDP is instead of the LVDS on notebook display.
