1. Turn off the HP 812702-001. Unlock and remove the battery. 2. Insert your fingers under the bezel on the top of the display. Wiggle the display bezel to separate it from the display back cover. 3. Separate the bezel on the top and bottom sides of the display assembly. 4. Remove the display bezel from the HP 812702-001. 5. Remove four Phillips PM2.0*2.0 screws that secure the LCD screen to the display assembly. 6. Separate the LCD screen from the display back cover and place it on the keyboard. 7. Remove the adhesive tape securing the LCD cable to the connector. Unplug the LCD cable. 8. Now you can remove the old screen and replace it with a new screen.
