How to replace keyboard on HP EliteBook 1040 G4
1. Shut down the laptop and unplugging the AC adapter from the laptop.
2. Remove all screws that securing the bottom cover, and then pry the bottom cover off the laptop.
3. Disconnect the battery connector and remove the battery.
4. Disconnect the webcam cable, display cable, RTC battery cable, keyboard cable, speaker cable, and TouchPad cable from the motherboard.
5. Remove all screws securing the motherboard and take out the motherboard.
6. Now you can start replacing the keyboard for HP EliteBook 1040 G4 laptop.
