How to remove and replace LCD cable on HP Pavilion 17z-g100 CTO

1. Shut down the laptop. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery.
2. Remove the Phillips PM2.5*7.0 screw that secures the optical drive. Slide it out of the optical drive bay.
3. Remove four Phillips PM2.5*12.0 screws that secure the hinge covers, and then lift the covers off the HP Pavilion 17z-g100 CTO.
4. Remove two screw covers from near the battery bay. Remove two Phillips PM2.0*2.0 flat screws from the optical drive bay.
5. Remove seventeen Phillips screws that secure the top cover to the laptop.
6. Separate the bottom cover from the rest of the laptop and turn it upside down on the table.
7. With the bottom cover was removed, disconnect the LCD cable from the motherboard.
8. Remove four Phillips PM2.5*12.0 screws that secure the hinge covers, and then lift the covers off the HP Pavilion 17z-g100 CTO.
9. Remove two screw covers from near the battery bay. Remove two Phillips PM2.0*2.0 flat screws from the optical drive bay.
10. Remove seventeen Phillips screws that secure the top cover to the HP Pavilion 17z-g100 CTO.
11. Separate the bottom cover from the rest of the laptop and turn it upside down on the table.
12. When the bottom cover was removed, place the laptop upside down and open the display.
13. Remove four Phillips PM2.5*5.0 screws that secure the display assembly. Remove the display assembly from the HP Pavilion 17-g000nv.
14. Turn the display bezel down. Disconnect the LCD cables and webcam cable from the screen.
15. Now you can remove the LCD cable and replace it with a new cable.
