How to remove the keyboard on Toshiba Satellite C75d-b7220
1. Make sure the Toshiba Satellite C75d-b7220 laptop is turned off, disconnect the AC adapter and all devices from the laptop. Unlock and remove the battery.
2. Unscrew five screws securing the hard drive cover and memory cover. Lift up covers and remove them from the laptop.
3. Remove one screw securing the hard drive. Slide the hard drive assembly to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard.
4. Remove one screw securing the optical drive. Pull the drive to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard.
5. Remove two screws securing the keyboard to the laptop. One screw next to the service cover, another screw under the service cover.
6. Flip the Toshiba Satellite C75d-b7220 laptop over and open the display.
7. Pry up the keyboard with a guitar pick or thin card a little bit, and then insert your fingers under the keyboard.
8. Lift up the keyboard and move the keyboard towards the display assembly and access the cable connector.
9. In order to release the cable, you need to move the retainer about 1-2 millimeters towards the screen.
10. Now you can pull the keyboard cable from the connector and remove the keyboard.
