After Sharp and BlackBerry have chosen to launch their new products on August 8, recently VAIO laptop has also announced its return to Chinese market on August 8. VAIO was originally a brand of Sony Corporation. But since February 6, 2014, it started to be operated by Japan Industrial Inc.
On August 1, VAIO laptop has announced that it will return to Chinese market with two new products. China will be VAIO laptop’s sixth oversea market. In the beginning, VAIO laptop will bring two business-oriented laptop models including the VAIO Z with high performance and the light-thin VAIO S13. After returning to Chinese market, VAIO laptop will start cooperation with JD, which means VAIO will much likely to put its new products on sale on JD.COM.
Besides, according to Japanese media, VAIO’s president Takayuki Sekitori expressed that VAIO-brand business will be restarted in China. He also claimed that VAIO laptop will only put its products on sale online platforms instead of opening offline store to reach sales of tens of thousands sets in its first returning year to Chinese market.
