Xiaomi Mi 5c comes with a 5.15-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 428 pixels per inch. It powered by 2.2GHz octa-core Surge S1 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to GB via a card. As far as the cameras are concerned, it packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Mi 5c runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2860mAh non-removable battery. It measures 144.38 x 69.68 x 7.09 and weighs 135.00 grams.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Micro-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include the Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.

Xiaomi Mi 5c Disassembly Step:

The first step is removing the SIM card tray. Xiaomi MI 5c support dual SIM cards but does not support expansion cards.

After observing the fuselage, we found that the Xiaomi MI 5c did not have a visible screw, so we used a hot air gun to heat the glass trim on the back of the fuselage and then remove the glass trim.
With the glass trim removed, we find four screws under the glass trim. The rightmost screw is covered with a fragile sticker, and if the fragile sticker is damaged, you will void the warranty.

Insert a guitar pick between the back cover and the phone body. Slide the pick along the edge of the phone, and then you can remove the back cover.

There is a large area of graphite thermal stickers on the back cover, the corresponding position of connector covered with foam, used to fill the connector and the fuselage between the back cover to prevent the phone in the fall or receive a greater impact when the cable is broken or loose.

Xiaomi Mi 5c using the three-section design, motherboard components density is very high.

Before further dismantling, we need to disconnect the battery cable, and then gently pull out two no trace glue, you can remove the battery.

It comes with a 3.85V, 2860mAh Li-polymer battery, manufactured by Scud Group Limited.

Remove the loudspeaker by removing two screws. The bottom board has a USB Type-C port, a microphone, and some antennas spring contacts.

Disconnect all cables from the bottom board, the bottom board using double-sided adhesive fixed on the chassis.
After the bottom board removed, you can see the home key is fixed on the display assembly, which means that if the Home key is damaged, will not be too easy to replace.

Many friends may want to look at Xiaomi Surge S1 processor in the phone, but you may be disappointed. Because most of the current mobile phone processors are packaged with the RAM, that is mean, the Surge S1 is under the Elpida chip, although can’t see the Surge S1, but Xiami MI 5C also has other pinecone chips.

On the back of the motherboard, only a metal shield can be removed, and the other is directly welded to the motherboard.
