Remove the SIM card tray.

Heat up the top and bottom cover with a heat gun.

Pry up the bottom cover with a blade.

Remove the bottom cover.

Remove the top cover with the same method.

Remove all screws under the top cover and the bottom cover.
Pry up the display assembly a little bit with a suction cup.

And then insert a guitar pick under the display assembly.

Slide the pick along the edge of the display to separate the back cover from the phone body.

Lift up the display assembly with your fingers.

Be careful. The fingerprint cable is still connecting to the motherboard.

Disconnect the fingerprint cable. Now the back cover can be removed completely.

From the top view of the back cover, we can see that the back cover frame using a complicated CNC process, in particular, the shape of the corner needs to be cut more, the middle is covered with graphite paste to transfer heat.

The machine uses injection molding process on the back cover for thickening. Thus ensuring that the machine falls, the corner can play a buffer role and reduce the damage to internal components.

Remove one screw securing the metal plate.

Under the metal plate is the battery connector.

Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.

Disconnect the LCD cable, touch cable, side button cable and bottom board cable.

Remove all screws securing the motherboard.

Remove the motherboard and disconnect the RF coaxial antenna.

All main chips are covering by the metal shield.

ZTE Axon 7 uses dual audio decoder chip, the AKM AK4490 chip not covering with the metal shield.
The AK4490EQ is a new generation of premium 32-bit DAC, with 2-channels of AKM’s VELVET SOUND architecture.

Remove two metal shields from the motherboard.

Then, remove two cameras from the motherboard, the main camera is 20MP and equipped with F1.8 aperture, the front-facing camera was 8MP without focusing module.

As both the speaker function, so the volume of the top handset is much larger than the average phone, the radio will theoretically improve.

Pry up the battery with a card.

ZTE Axon 7 comes with a 3.85V, 3140mAh Li-ion battery.

We are very surprised that we found a copper pipe under the battery.

We first open the top of the copper sheet, it was found that the copper pipe extends directly to the location of the processor, that the machine’s processor heat through the silicone grease transfer to the copper sheet and copper pipe, then the copper pipe spread heat rapidly.

Remove two screws securing the metal plate.
