Design & Appearance
Dell Inspiron 15 7567 has a top-class appearance and its smooth black color are quite matured. It has an all-metal body and the side fuselage of this laptop is designed from a soft sturdy plastic material which prevents it from feeling cheap. With a clean and smooth metal body design, this laptop does not attract any sort of stain or print due to its smoothness thus it never gets dirty neither does it need cleaning. The metal build process of this laptop ensures that it is resistant to corrosion and abrasion thus its body cannot get rusted.
The elegant design of this laptop is one of its major talking points. Overall, it has the shape of a much-flattened trapezium with a slant front and back edge which has some stylish crisscross venting design. The triangular grid pattern in front of this laptop covers the front-facing speaker and complements the back looks thereby giving it a premium appearance.
The top surface of this product contains the conventional “DELL” logo designed with red color while at the back fuselage. There is an “Inspiron” crest for easy identification of the brand. At the base of this laptop, there are two horizontal anti-skid pads along the length which is meant to raise the base of the laptop a little so as to create an allowance for heat to be dissipated via the cooling holes at the base. They also give the system balance and create a solid cohesion between the base of the laptop and the surface on which it is placed thus it cannot easily slip off the table. This laptop has a serious ventilation system. In addition to the back vents, there are also two rectangular crisscrossed vents and a speaker which supports the front-facing speaker. While the main body of this laptop is black, the front and back design comes in red color.
15.6-inch IPS Screen
Ultra-thin bezel design is the current trend in the laptop industry, however, the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming 7567 screen comes with a bit thick bezels. The top bezel contains the webcam while the bottom frame has the “DELL” logo.
Despite the thick bezels, this laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and when compared to an ordinary TN screen, it has a wider viewing angle and a better color performance. It has a 178-degree viewing angle which delivers a wonderful color and gaming experience. This laptop can be used effectively in strong light conditions as the screen is designed with anti-glare treatment which effectively prevents reflection from strong light thus the screen remains visible even when there is strong light.
We used the red spider 4 generation professional color instrument on the screen for specific color gamut test, the final test results show that Dell Inspiron 15 7567 screen covers 64% of the sRGB color gamut and ARGB color gamut. The screen performance is at optimal levels and it will deliver a quality image processing for daily usage. Whether you need this laptop for games or movies, it will unleash a clear image regardless of the lighting conditions.
The speakers are systematically positioned at the back and bottom of this laptop. Interestingly, they can get very loud because the speakers are designed with a subwoofer. The speaker check revealed that at maximum volume, the sound gets cranked up thus it is best to not increase the volume to the maximum. However, you wouldn’t even need maximum volume because, at 80% volume, you will be satisfied.
The keyboard design is very comfortable, soft and unique because the keys are designed with a red lining and all the inscriptions are written in red. This gives the keyboard a special look which is different from the traditional “white and black” keyboards that we have in most laptops.
The keycap gap is perfect and appropriate thus you don’t make the mistake of pressing two keys at a time while typing. The keys also trigger a swift rebound with rapid feedback which makes it perfect for gaming and typing. Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming 7567 comes with a solid and precise touchpad which is very delicate and delivers an excellent experience.
The backlit of Dell Inspiron 15 7567 keyboard is catchy and can’t be ignored. These days, the backlight is one feature that all top-class modern laptops have so that low light conditions don’t stop you from typing on your computer. The Dell Inspiron 15 7570 comes with a special red backlit ensures that you can use this laptop conveniently even in the dark.
The power button is well positioned at the top right side of the keyboard surface but it is not on the keyboard itself. The touchpad comes with a sturdy plastic texture which may not give the best of feelings but its response is far better.
The connectivity interface of this laptop is sufficient for everyday use as it contains all the standard port types that you will need. On the right side of the fuselage, we have a headset interface, two USB 3.0 interfaces, HDMI connection, an Ethernet jack and an RJ45 network interface.
On the left side of the fuselage, we have the power jack, USB 3.0 port, a Kensington lock slot and an SD card slot.
Other connectivity options which are included in this laptop are a dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, which covered by a one-year warranty.
Dell Inspiron 15 7567 has a net weight of 2.78 kg and a travel weight of 3.29 kg. This is not the lightest of 15.6-inch laptops as we have seen several products that weigh much less. However, considering the gaming quality and its physical hardware’s, the weight alone should don’t discourage anyone.
Dell Inspiron 15 7567 is equipped with a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-7300HQ CPU coupled with 8GB of RAM. This processor is designed on the KabyLake architecture using the 14nm manufacturing process. It has four-core eight threads design clocking 2.5GHz with a turbo boost core frequency up to 3.5GHz. Generally, this laptop’s processor is efficient for multitasking and gaming. However, we subjected the processor to a performance test like we normally do
Processor Performance Testing
To test the performance of the processor, we used CineBench R15 software. It got a final single-threaded score of 135cb and a multi-threaded score of 492cb. This is generally a good result for a gaming laptop.
Graphics Performance Test
The Dell Inspiron 15 7567 is equipped with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti card which comes with a 4GB GDDR5 VRAM video memory which is currently the top-level game graphic card.
We used the Fire Strike mode of 3DMark software to test the GPU and got a final graphics score of 7981 points. This is a perfect entry level score and high-end games will run smoothly without lag.
Actual Gaming Performance
For the actual gaming experience, we used “Jedi survival: Battle Royale” to run the test because this game is very popular and the game has a low optimization thus its results will be representative of the true performance of this laptop.
To run the test, vertical sync was turned off and it was played in FHD resolution. For the first two minutes, there was a little dip in performance which is normal after which it returned to normal levels.
The maximum frame rate reached 83FPS with an average frame rate of 67FPS. This shows that the Dell Inspiron 15 7567 would offer a very smooth performance for entry-level games.
AS SSD software was used in testing the 128GB solid-state hard drive. It achieved a final read speed of 462.49MB/S, and a write speed of 100.16MB/S. On daily usage, the performance is good but it can use an upgrade if available.
We used AIDA64 to carry out a full load test and after a while, we used a thermal imager to monitor its temperature. The temperature control of this laptop is very good. Upon usage, it achieved a maximum temperature of 47.3 degrees. Most of the heat was concentrated at the center of the laptop while the flank-keyboard regions accumulated very minimal temperature. On the rear, the maximum temperature was also concentrated at central region while the sides were relatively cool. This means that you have to avoid the areas of high heat during gaming. You have nothing to worry about because the maximum temperature is less than 48 degrees.
The Dell Inspiron 15 7567 uses a 48Wh built-in lithium polymer battery. To test the battery performance, we used a power balanced mode, set the notebook brightness at 50%, volume at 20%, turned off all background software and initiated a continuous video playback on 1080P. After an hour, we had a total of 15% power consumption and this implies that a continuous playback of high-definition video on this notebook can reach 6 hours.
Upgrade Space: M.2 SSD Can Be Extended
The internal work of Dell Inspiron 15 7567 is very neat, it has memory for the onboard and there are two DDR4 memory slots which allow a user to install extra memory. There is also a reserved M.2 SSD slot to perform a replacement upgrade.
The Dell Inspiron 15 7567 appearance is quite special and catchy, its back and red color combo is attractive to the eyes but this is not the only good feature that comes with this laptop. Its large screen, high-quality subwoofer sound, and good audio/video experience make it top-notch, and it can meet up all your gaming demands. If you are a massive gamer, this laptop was designed for you.
