The screen of the Asus Zenbook 13 UX331UN adopts narrow bezels both on the left and right. The camera is on the top, and ASUS’ logo is at the bottom. The keyboard area includes keyboard, touchpad and fingerprint reader module. The keyboard has LED backlight, which enables the user to use the laptop even under dark condition.

power key
The power key is in the top right corner of the keyboard area. This surface adopts metal except for keys. The edge part slight inward hollows, which is to avoid pressing keys after closing the laptop.

left port
The ports on the left include the power port, HDMI port, USB3.0 port and Type-C port. Besides, the status indicator is also on the left.

right port
The ports on the right include earphone/Mac two-in-one jack, TF Disk Tray and a USB 3.0 port. Such port design is convenient to connect the external device to the laptop.

This surface adopts all-metal design. Vent and two speakers are placed at the bottom.

remove mat
Now, we will start to disassemble the laptop. Except for a circle of visible screws, there are two screws hidden under the two mats. Remove the mat, and two screws can be seen.

remove back cover
Remove all screws and gently pry off the laptop’s edge part, and then the whole back cover can be removed. We can see that battery occupies over half of the internal area, and the left area is occupied by the motherboard. The internal layout has high integration, which means only a few accessories can be changed. The memory chips are integrated on the motherboard, so it can’t be removed or upgraded. The laptop has 512GB SSD. The SSD can be changed, but there is no necessary to change it because its capacity is large enough. If you still need more capacity, you’d better buy a hard drive.

back cover
The back cover uses the metal material, and it is quite thin. The internal and external parts of the back cover adopt blue color. Metal case can help heat dissipation except for its solid and thinner features.

memory chip
These are the ultrathin fan, copper tube and processor. There are four memory chips with 8GB and DDR3 two types.
