Meizu M3E, a new mid-range phone was launched by Meizu last week. It uses a 5.5 inches 1080p screen, powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. It features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Built-in 3100mAh battery, support for fast charging, the network supports dual card dual standby entire network, VoLTE and so on.

Meizu M3E Teardown Step:

Remove the SIM card tray.

Remove two Torx screws that securing the back cover to the middle frame. It is beside the Micro USB port.

Now pry up the back cover a little bit with a rubber suction cup.

The power button and volume keys are connected to the motherboard via hard contact.

When the back cover was removed, you will be able to access the internal components.

Remove three screws that securing the metal bracket.

Under the metal bracket, you can get access to the battery connector, LCD cable, touch cable, and bottom board cable.

Remove all screws securing the plastic bracket that covering the motherboard.

Remove the plastic bracket. And then remove all screws securing the motherboard.

Now remove the motherboard.

With the motherboard removed, you can get access to the antenna, earpiece, vibrator and touch IC.

Remove six screws that securing the speaker module and bottom board.

Here’re mBack button and mback bracket.

Here’s the earpiece module.

Micro USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, antenna hard contact. There are rubber blocks between the Micro USB and the screen bracket to prevent the Micro USB port loose.

Noise-canceling microphone and double color LED flash
Since the metal shield soldered directly to the motherboard, so we will not remove the metal shield.

On the other side of the motherboard, you can access the light distance sensor, handset hard contact, and GPS antenna hard contact.

Remove the copper foil and graphite thermal layer.
Under the copper foil, there is a layer of cotton thermal.
